The virtual Town Hall event, hosted by SER President Yvette Cozier, was a much-needed space for SER members to hear different experiences and perspectives on ways to respond to the current changes in the scientific world. Building on the virtual event, this in-person town hall aims to provide a listening space for sharing and discussing opportunities for collective thinking about the future of public health, epidemiology, and research for the next four years and beyond. The purpose is for the panelists to provide a long-term perspective of government, science, funding cycles, and community engagement. The town hall will provide attendees with ideas and strategies to support the future of public health research as individuals, departments, institutions, and societies.
